About us

Kloemprock is an alternative festival that aims for people who're into punk, punkrock, ska, metal -and hardcore.

It first took place in August 2000 with local talent, such as Scarrots and Oversized, together with Belgian Associality and Travoltas. A year later, in 2001, we drew a slightly larger crowd with tribute band Badness, The Punkles en Funeral Dress. In 2002, The Real McKenzies joined our line-up for the first time. Funeral Dress, Not Available and Skin Of Tears completed that years line-up.

2003 was by far the best year for Kloemprock with Scarrots, The Kids, The Business and UK ska legends Bad Manners.

Heavy rainfall made us quit in 2004 - the crowd stayed at home and we were left behind with great bands such as UK Subs, Fabulous Disaster, The Porters and Randy.

Our first comeback took place in November 2008 with The Casualties, Funeral Dress, Capital Scum, Airplane and Mark Foggo's Skasters but soon it became clear that Kloemprock had to return to its original grounds.

That's why we started planning a new edition in 2011 with Misconduct, Shadows Chasing Ghosts, Venerea, The Real McKenzies and Strung Out in our tent at our local festival area.

We can all say Kloemprock is back to stay, and we hope all of you will spread the word to help us draw a larger crowd again!
